FreeArmidale Sanctuary Humanitarian Settlement is a not-for-profit organization staffed entirely by volunteers, sponsoring and supporting refugees in our community.
Its annual human rights lecture for 2025 will be presented by Kieran Pender, Associate Legal Director of the Human Rights Law Centre https://www.hrlc.org.au where he leads the Whistleblowers Project – Australia’s first specialist legal service to help whistleblowers expose government and corporate wrongdoing.
The topic of the lecture will be : Transparency, Democracy, and Human Rights: Fixing Australia’s Secrecy Crisis.
