With the potable water supply in Mungindi sourced from the Barwon River, current conditions are causing problems with water treatment making drinking unsafe.
Mungindi residents are advised that the Level 5 water restrictions will remain in place due to ongoing issues with the local water supply.
In the lead up to Christmas, Mungindi residents are invited to reconnect, recharge and replenishing with a special holiday morning tea.
