Police area appealing for public assistance after a man was stabbed at Armidale on Saturday, March 8.
New England Police District were called to a hospital about 9pm after a man had presented with a stab wound in his leg.
Officers were told a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were walking on Kennedy Street when they were approached by a group of men, before the man was stabbed and assaulted.
The boy was not injured.
Initial inquiries indicate the group of about eight were known to the man and police are urging anyone with information or dashcam vision to come forward.
