The Seasons of New England Expo is set for an exciting transformation in 2025, with the beloved annual event expanding to a two-day format.
With just seven weeks until the big weekend, organisers have unveiled a fresh approach that allows more local artisans, producers, and makers to showcase their talents—without leaving the event’s home in Uralla, and maintaining that warm, family friendly, creative feel that is the essence of Seasons.
The Expo has become a staple on the New England calendar, celebrating the incredible craftsmanship of the region. With over 100 producers regularly participating, demand for stallholder spots has steadily increased, making it difficult to accommodate all the talented businesses eager to be part of the event.
Rather than relocate from Uralla, organisers have found a creative solution. Instead of one large event, Seasons of New England will now deliver two distinct Expo experiences across the weekend.
“Each year, we receive more applications than we can accommodate,” said organiser Tara Toomey.
“We wanted to find a way to support more New England businesses without compromising the experience for visitors or moving away from Uralla. Expanding to two days allows us to do just that.”
The first day of the event will take place on Saturday, 29 March, featuring over 100 artisans and producers. On Sunday, 30 March, more than 60 new businesses will join a handful of familiar faces to offer a completely fresh line-up of stalls. While the exhibitors will change, visitors can expect the same welcoming atmosphere, vibrant live music, free kids’ art tent, shady seating, a fully stocked bar, and, of course, an incredible range of handmade and homegrown products.
“We’re excited to offer two unique days filled with New England talent,” Tara said.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to explore more of what our region has to offer, while ensuring stallholders have a successful trading day.”
“It also means our visitors can return for a second day and discover something entirely new.”
For those travelling to Uralla for the event, accommodation has been a key consideration. The town offers a growing range of options, including caravan parks, camping at the showground, refurbished motels, pub stays, and charming B&Bs. The Expo also benefits neighbouring towns and villages, with many visitors extending their stay to explore more of the New England region.
“We love that this weekend encourages people to discover the wider region,” Tara said.
“Not only does Uralla benefit from the influx of visitors, but nearby towns also enjoy a boost in accommodation and dining bookings. Our hope is that the Expo serves as an introduction to the New England and inspires return visits.”
The decision to extend the event was made with both stallholders and visitors in mind. Instead of creating an overwhelming market with hundreds of stalls, organisers have carefully curated each day to ensure a high-quality experience.
“We’ve seen how difficult it can be for visitors to navigate overly large events,” Tara noted.
“By keeping each day to around 100–110 stalls, people have time to explore every one of them, and stallholders have a great chance of a successful trading day. This way, we preserve the friendly and intimate feel of the Expo while offering more opportunities for participation.”
The Seasons of New England Expo has always been about celebrating and supporting local businesses, and the 2025 expansion stays true to that mission. With two days of incredible stalls, entertainment, and hospitality, the event is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet.
