The New England Highway is closed in both directions between Caroline Street and Moonbi Lookout Road at Bendemeer, north of Tamworth, due to a serious bus and motorcycle crash.
Emergency services and traffic crews are on site. It is not known at this stage when the road will reopen.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route, or consider delaying their journey.
