Construction on Inverell’s Reflection Garden is well underway.
The garden has been designed to be a welcoming, happy, family friendly memorial garden which will provide a gentle and peaceful location for families to remember and acknowledge the lives of babies who have died through either miscarriage, still birth or infant death.
Not only will the garden give comfort by acknowledgement, it will importantly provide a place for people to meet and share stories, as well as allow siblings a special place to remember their
brothers and sisters.
The main features of the garden are a concrete pathway in an ‘infinity like’ design, native ornamental grasses at the base of the walls and sandstone block seating.
A number of plaques are proposed for installation. There will be an explanatory plaque and interpretive plaques.
The use of native ornamental grass gardens has been chosen to minimise maintenance. The Inverell Lions Club will install the gardens.
The Reflection Garden, located in Victoria Park will be a special place for the community and visitors alike.
