Marius Veterinary Clinic at 10 Marius Street in Tamworth is your family pet vet – a small animal veterinary practice which has for 25 years been treating small domestic pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles…) in a caring and friendly environment.
At the heart of the practice, you’ll find a dedicated team of three veterinarians and four nurses, all focused on providing the best possible care for your pets. The clinic is owned and operated by Robyn Edleston, who brings decades of experience and passion to her work. Robyn, originally from Sydney’s western suburbs, graduated from the University of Sydney in 1977 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons), one of only eight women in a class of 68.
Her career began in Broken Hill, where she worked as the supervising vet at the RSPCA clinic—the only one within 200 kilometers. During her time there, Robyn treated a diverse range of animals, from cockatoos to camels, and even worked with the Royal Flying Doctor Service to provide veterinary care to remote properties.
After leaving Broken Hill in 1980, Robyn worked in several rural and regional practices across NSW, including in Yass, Canberra, Orange, and Wagga Wagga, before settling in Tamworth in 1990. It was during this time that she recognized a need for a small animal practice that not only provided top-notch veterinary services but also had a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, so opened her own clinic in 1999.
Her veterinary interests include small animal medicine, with a particular focus on nutrition, geriatric care, dentistry, animal behavior, and pocket pet medicine. Outside of work, Robyn enjoys singing, acting, painting, and traveling. She and her husband live on five hectares near Tamworth with their cat Bat Cat and their Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Louis.
With over 25 years of experience, the practice continues to provide compassionate, personalized care, ensuring every pet is treated like a cherish member of their own family.
