Inverell’s RDR Real Estate is proudly independent, committed to building quality client relationships, and firmly based on honesty, respect, integrity, and a supportive workplace environment.

Principals and owners, Wally Duff and Amanda Green, have built this successful business with their strong team in just a few years, earning them a wall of industry awards. Both left their former careers to enter real estate.

Wally worked in soil conservation for 20 years. “I’d worked on most of the properties in the district, and always had an interest in real estate,” he said.

“After working alongside Rex for a period of time, it became clear I loved real estate. Which has brought us to where we are today, deciding to take a leap of faith and chase our dreams.”

They kept the original acronym, formerly Rex Daley Realty (RDR), but the agency name is now RDR Real Estate, with “RDR” standing for Rural District Residential Real Estate.

Since 2018, they rode the wave of a two-year drought and the pandemic, all the while, transforming and growing the former rural-based real estate agency into a full-service office. RDR services cover rural, residential, and commercial listings, a busy rent-roll, leases, auctions and clearing sales.

RDR Real Estate’s success lies in their consistent recognition within the industry, having been awarded Inverell’s Agency of the Year over the past five years by their clients and Rate My Agent. Amanda’s individual efforts have also been repeatedly acknowledged, earning her Inverell’s Agent of the Year for the past four years.

As they are an independent agency, there is no restriction on areas the RDR Real Estate can service. Their service footprint spans a vast geographic area, covering not only the Inverell Shire, but also the surrounding areas of Warialda, Bingara, Bonshaw, Bundarra, and Glen Innes, highlighting their commitment to servicing the needs of their community.

Both Wally and Amanda hold the respect of their clients and staff in high regard.

“Real estate is a people-based industry, with these values being an integral part of our business. These values are also mirrored by our staff.”

Office manager Elly Jurd is the first face clients see at the front desk and handles the photography and marketing for the business.

“It’s nice meeting different people every day, being able to find their dream homes, and helping them to achieve what they are striving for in life,” she said.

Kim McNamara and Rachel Borysko are RDR’s property management team. Kim moved from another Inverell business and worked alongside Amanda when initially implementing the rent roll. The agency rent-roll continued to grow with additional staff required to service our landlords and tenants.

Rachel started at RDR after Amanda assisted her with a local investment purchase and Wally acted on her behalf to purchase a farm at auction. Rachel relocated from the Hawkesbury and brings her 25 years’ experience to the team at RDR Real Estate.

“I’m so proud to work at RDR. The way they conduct their business, they go above and beyond, and the culture within the office makes it a pleasure to come to work,” Rachel said.

Kim enjoys her role within the RDR team, working alongside team members that are equally as passionate about providing a valuable service to their community.

“It is a privilege to be a part of a tenant’s journey in securing their new home; whether it is a young couple first moved out of home, a family needing more space, wanting to downsize, and everyone in between” Kim said.

Both Wally and Amanda said like any successful business, you’re heavily reliant on your staff, acknowledging the invaluable contributions of each member towards achieving their collective goals.

“We are extremely fortunate with the team that surrounds us and our business. They’re the backbone.”

Both Wally and Amanda believe the foundation of RDR is their values, providing a high-quality level of service for every client and the care for their staff.

“We’re very proud of our business,” Amanda said.

“We look forward to the future and the growth of our business. It is very exciting to see where this takes us.”
