Uber Eats is now live in Inverell, serving up greater convenience, more choice, and fresh earning opportunities to locals and visitors alike.

The launch comes as demand for convenient online ordering options grows across the country, with restaurant partner sign-ups to the Uber Eats platform experiencing double-digit growth over the past year.

To meet this demand, Uber Eats is putting online food delivery on the menu in Inverell, making it easier than ever for locals to support the restaurants they know and love.

The expansion into Inverell is part of Uber Eats’ broader commitment to regional growth this year.

Throughout 2025, Uber Eats will expand into 67 new regional locations – more than doubling its footprint and bringing its services to over 100 towns and communities across Australia for the first time.

Today, Inverell is one of 15 NSW towns getting the green light today.

Uber Eats delivering for regional Aussies

Uber Eats makes millions of trips every week across Australia’s bustling capital cities. But with one in three Aussies now calling regional areas home, they’re committed to bringing the benefits of e-commerce and last mile delivery to more people in more places, whether it’s the city or the bush.

“By harnessing our technology, we’re empowering residents and small business owners nationwide – making it easier than ever for locals and visitors to access meals, groceries, pet supplies and more in a few clicks.”

To gain a deeper understanding of the impact of the expansion into regional Australia Uber Eats partnered with global consultancy Oxford Economics on a new report titled, “Beyond the big cities: The Economic Impact of Uber Eats in Regional Australia 2025”

The findings reveal that the demand for online food delivery goes beyond convenience – it’s a driver of economic growth, offering tangible benefits for small businesses, local economies, and communities alike.

  • In 2025 alone, restaurants in newly launched Uber Eats locations are projected to generate nearly $45 million in additional revenue
  • The arrival of Uber Eats is expected to contribute $19 million to Gross Domestic Product driving job creation and bolstering supply chains
  • Over 2,500 new delivery partners across these regional towns to earn through Uber Eats
  • Consumers will benefit with the increased choice and convenience of Uber Eats, with the wellbeing benefit valued at $161 million.

From Broome to Ballina, Batemans Bay to Broken Hill, nearly one million more regional residents will gain access to Uber Eats by the end of the year.

This expansion will unlock significant economic opportunities for those regions, offering them the same technology-driven convenience as major metropolitan areas.

It will help restaurants, grocers and people looking for flexible earning opportunities as delivery partners choosing when, where and how long they log on for.

“This is a game-changing year for Uber Eats and regional Australia. Together we’ll generate tens of millions of dollars in new revenue for small businesses and bring greater choice and convenience to the nearly one million Aussies who call these communities home.” Managing Director, Uber Eats Australia and New Zealand Ed Kitchen said.

“Regional towns have long been central to Australia’s economic strength. By expanding Uber Eats to more locations, we’re committed to ensuring that businesses, communities, and residents – regardless of location – can access the benefits of e-commerce and a reliable delivery network. Through technology and innovation, our platform is making an ongoing commitment to supporting these local economies, connecting communities, and enhancing convenience for hundreds of thousands of Australians wherever they are.”
