Program just released for another bumper Tenterfield Autumn Festival

Tenterfield Autumn Festival.

The weather is getting cooler, and the Easter Bunny is just about to pop out of its burrow, which means it’s nearly time for the Tenterfield Autumn Festival!

The popular weekend-long event will, as always be held on Easter weekend which this year falls on the weekend of 18-21 April.

Event organiser Kim Rhodes has just provided us with a sneak peek of this year’s program of events and 2025 is shaping up to be an absolute cracker.

Here’s some of the must do events for you and your family to hop on into this Easter:

Festivities will start early on Thursday 17 April, with a glamorous launch party at Sir Henry Parkes School of Arts. From 6pm, attendees will be treated to a night of fashion, dancing, food and wine. Tickets are just $15 per person and must be booked in advance via Try Booking.

From there, you can spend Friday 18 April easing yourself into a weekend of fun – enjoy an open garden tour, try your hand at barefoot bowling at the Tenterfield Bowling Club or relax with friends of Pinot and Pizza at Bad Manners Café.

Saturday is when the action starts – the ever-popular Make It, Bake It, Grow It markets will run from 8am – 2 pm in Jubilee Park, with a special Easter twist featuring kids’ entertainment, visits from the Easter Bunny and live music.

You can also duck across the road to the showgrounds for the Mini Fair, which will run on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Featuring fairground rides, a jumping castle and food trucks, this one is bound to keep the whole family happy.

Crowd favourites like the Cobb and Co Coach Rides, and tours of Historic Stannum House will make a reappearance on the program for Saturday and Sunday but once again, be sure to book your spot!

If you’re looking for something on the speedier side, the Skate Park and Pump Track Competitions are back after a successful first year in 2024 and there will be Sled Dog Racing Demonstrations on both Saturday and Sunday at the Girard State Forest Crooked Creek Campground.

Sunday morning come down to Jubilee Park again for the Lions Club Breakkie, and the Children’s Easter Egg Hunt, and then work off all that chocolate energy with either a family friendly social mountain bike ride through Curry’s Gap, or a kite flying competition.

Then you can wind down with something a little calmer like taking on a flower arranging workshop at Loganlea Florist, or experiencing some beautiful music at the iconic Piano Mill Environmental Stage.

With just two weeks to go, keep your eyes on the Tenterfield Autumn Festival website and Facebook page for any updates and get ready to celebrate the changing seasons in historic Tenterfield.
