Find what you’re looking for at the New England Wedding Showcase

Whether you are a bride-to-be, waiting for that special someone to pop the question or just looking for a good time, come and check out the New England Wedding Showcase on April 13.

Wedding and events vendors will transform the Armidale Showground as they bring out the best creations, newest ideas and clever gadgets to make your big day one to remember.

Samantha Skinner, chairperson of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Support Group, Armidale branch says if you are holding a big event in the region, you won’t want to miss this.

“We’ve got 35 vendors, everything from bagpipes and DJs and cakes to venues and transport, so pretty much everything that couples need to find for their big day, all local vendors servicing the entire New England region.” said Samantha.

“Its bringing together the best of the region, in one spot, you can come and have a wander around, actually meet people in person rather than having to send an inquiry over the internet.”

“You actually get to see the people, you’ll get to see some of their products, hear some of their services, and really kind of get a good feel for how they might be a part of your day. And it’s also designed to spark inspiration as people are wandering around, you sort of see something that you might not have thought of.”

Samantha says content creators have been a new addition rising on the wedding scene and one people are keen to know more about.

“They capture the short form video and turning it into social media, posting real footage, and usually that happens within 24 hours, so, you wake up the next day and you’ve got these reels and images that you can relive immediately, which is something quite new and exciting.”

And to spark your interest some more, organiser say there are new venues coming onto the scene to watch out for.

“We hope that we see lots of people there, and even if you’re not planning a wedding, you could come along if you’re planning an event because there’s lots of fun.”

Tickets are $5 for people ages 16 and over, while those under 16 are free, with other opportunities to get involved and support the community.

“There’s also a massive raffle, which has a prize pool in excess of $2,000 worth of prizes that people can win, and all the money raised from the day goes directly to the Tamworth Base of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, which is a vital service for our region.”
