Inverell’s sporting complex heading for an upgrade

Dozens of sports grounds, community halls, theatres and cultural centres across the state will share in more than $6.15 million in funding to upgrade their facilities under the latest round of the State Government’s Infrastructure Grants Program.

In the New England, Inverell’s netball courts have been awarded $73,349 to upgrade the field lighting at Inverell Sports Complex, a boost for all sporting users of the facility.

“It’s so pleasing to see this round of Infrastructure Grants go to a large number of worthy groups who are working hard for their communities in such a variety of ways across the state.” said Minister for Gaming and Racing David Harris.

A total of 37 projects will receive support in this second round of the program for the 2024/25 financial year, building on the $6.44 million delivered to fund 46 projects in July 2024.
