The Inverell Chamber of Commerce has appointed a fresh and dynamic leadership team following its monthly meeting, signalling an exciting new chapter for local business advocacy and development.
Hamish McDonald from RLX has been handed the reigns as the new President, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong vision for the chamber’s future.
Stepping into the role of Vice President is Georgie King from Print Anything and Hip Pocket Work Wear, whose deep connection to the local business community will be invaluable in shaping the chamber’s direction.
Hamish and Georgie join Tracey Oppy (treasurer), Cherie Duffy and Jenny Thomas, (secretary and assistance secretary) and Kylie Wilk’s (publicity officer) to form the revitalised executive team. Laura Cush will continue her role with the organisation as Membership Engagement Officer.
The newly appointed leadership team is committed to regrouping, refocusing and, in partnership with chamber members, driving initiatives that will strengthen the local business environment and support Inverell’s economic growth.
“The Chamber extends its sincere gratitude to outgoing president Jacki watts and vie president Allam kemp for their passion, dedication, and invaluable contributions.” said the Inverell Chamber release.
“Their leadership has been instrumental in advocating for local business and fostering a strong business sector.”
The chamber encourages all business to stay engage and be an active part of this exciting new chapter.
“We are looking forward to building on the great work of past leaders and taking the chamber to new heights,” said Hamish.
“Now is the time to refocus our efforts and ensure the chamber remains a strong voice for local businesses.”
The next Inverell Chamber of Commerce and Industry general meeting will be held on Wednesday April 16.
