Rural Women to start the conversation  on succession planning

Rural women are the backbone of family farms, yet when it comes to succession planning, their voices can often go unheard. ‘Nurturing the Conversation’ presented by RFCSNR is here to change that.

This empowering event, featuring psychologist, Malinda Guest, will equip women in agriculture with the communication tools they need to navigate the complexities of succession planning with confidence and clarity.

The multi-event series will be held in Inverell on March 28 at the beautiful Blair Athol Homestead, offering women in agriculture or multigenerational farming families the opportunity to share experiences, gain insights, and develop strategies for tackling one of the most challenging topics in farming today.

Malinda Guest, an expert in rural mental health, communication and family dynamics, will provide practical guidance on fostering open and productive conversations around farm succession.

“I’m proud to facilitate the Nurturing the Conversation workshops, designed to help women improve communication and confidently navigate farm succession planning” says Malinda.

“Using the TACTICS communication framework, we’ll engage in interactive activities and real-life demonstrations, creating a fun, safe space for learning practical skills to take home”.

With limited places available and seats booking fast, RFCSNR encourage booking ASAP to avoid disappointment. Due to anticipated demand, additional sessions may be considered to ensure more rural women have access to this vital conversation.
