The Gunnedah Shire Council Australia Day Awards are presented by the Gunnedah Shire Council Australia Day Working Group assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council.

Four people in Gunnedah also became our newest Australian citizens on Saturday, 25 January at an Australia Day weekend Citizenship Ceremony.

Gunnedah Shire Council hosted the Citizenship Ceremony at The Civic ahead of the Australia Day Awards.

“Welcome to our new Australian citizens,” Cr Luke said. “We hope you enjoy being Australian citizens and all of the responsibilities and privileges it brings with it.”
