Armidale businesses, clubs and community groups invited to participate in Lifesaver Day, 19th February, on the Armidale campus, marking the start of a new academic year.
Business and community groups can highlight everything that Armidale and the surrounding region has to offer directly to new students.
UNE Life is expecting more than 600 first year on campus to pass through on the day, made up of college students and Armidale residents.
Interim CEO of UNE Life, Ben Bible encourages Armidale businesses, clubs and community groups to come and meet UNE’s newest students.
“By showcasing your services and offerings, you’re not only helping students discover what they need to thrive here but also contributing to a stronger, and growing, city.” said Bible.
“Lifesaver Day is an opportunity for businesses and groups to not only showcase what makes Armidale special, but to build lasting connections that enrich both our students’ experience and the broader community.”
“Last year there were more than 110 businesses, clubs and community groups involved, and we want to see this grow. Businesses and organisations from the surrounding region – such as Uralla, Guyra and Moree are more than welcome to participate.”
Participation in Lifesaver Day is completely free, but registration is required.
Please contact Natalie Waters for more information at nataliew@une.edu.au, and applications will close on Monday, 10 February 2025.
