If you live in Inverell be prepared to receive a phone call on Wednesday and have your say on Inverell Shire Council.
Council has contracted Micromex Research to conduct the telephone and online survey on behalf of their behalf, as one of the initial steps outlined in the Council’s newly adopted Community Engagement Strategy is to gather input from the community through a Community Survey.
The purpose of the survey is to gain valuable information direct from the community to assist the newly elected Council in reviewing the Community Strategic Plan and to contribute to forming the strategic direction of Councils Delivery Program over this 4-year term.
The phone survey will commence on Wednesday 4th December and will be a random selection of residents from across the breadth of the Shire. The Online survey will commence the following week and is available for those who wish to contribute to the survey but are not contacted by phone.
Information regarding the online survey will be available on the Council website from next Tuesday 10th December.
Residents who are unable to participate online independently, will have the opportunity to call into the Inverell Shire Library or Inverell Administration Centre, where a member of Council staff can assist.
“Residents contacted will receive a call from (02) 8358 5771. Council is very keen to hear your honest thoughts and opinions.” said Inverell Shire Mayor Cr Kate Dight.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to listen directly to the community to ascertain their aspirations and needs. This is invaluable to us as Councillors as we look towards setting our direction so we can deliver the best outcomes for the community.”
The survey is the ideal opportunity for the community to have input into the future direction of what Council delivers for the community.
