With a powerful dedication to his customers and a jolt of skill for getting the job done safely, correctly, and on time, Matthew Ellison of Ello’s Electrical has electrified the competition, with his remarkable reliability winning over his loyal clients.
Voted on by his clients and New England Times readers as ‘Best in the New England’ earlier this year, Matt said he was very thankful that they thought so highly of him.
“It means a lot because it comes from the people I work for.”
Born and bred in Tamworth, the dedicated electrician took up his trade as a path out of school.
“I started off as an electrician as because school wasn’t really my thing and it was the ticket out of school,” he laughed.
“I carried it on, though.”
Known for his expertise and exceptional customer service, Matt has worked as an electrician for more than a decade, starting his own business seven years ago, which he runs as a two-person operation with his apprentice, Jack. He said he started the business after he had so much weekend work so he ‘bit the bullet and went out by myself and it has paid off’.
“The beauty of my work is that you’re doing something different everyday,” he said.
“You’re not stuck doing the same thing and the greatest rewards are the smiles you get at the end of the job.”
Being in a regional area, Matt said word-of-mouth was the best advertising he could get and most of his clients came to him via recommendations from others.
“You get all these great word of mouth recommendations, but, on the other hand, it takes just one negative and that’s what people remember I think,” he said.
The reviews for Ello’s Electrical show just how much his work is valued.
“They are very accommodating, punctual, great at communicating and helpful,” one customer wrote.
While another wrote that their ‘work is of highest quality’ and all reviewers state they’ll be returning customers.
“We do always do the best job we can and we do it when we say we will, to the best of our ability,” Matt said.
“We try to make it as quick as we can get there. Reliability is important to us.”
With this accolade for the business and with the positive reviews continuing to flow in, Matt is working to continue to build on his solid reputation as a tradie the New England region can trust.
