Gunnedah’s Balcary Park Raceway is set to host the title deciding fifth and sixth rounds of the Yamaha Blu Cru Aussie Flat Track Nationals on November 16 & 17, boasting a lineup that now includes three American Flat Track stars with Dallas Daniels now confirmed to ride against his Estenson Yamaha teammate Tom Drane and Queenslander Max Whale.
They will square off against title contenders Jarrod Brook and Tom Herrick as well as local hero Daniel Wicks and Cam Dunker over two days of racing that begins on the oval circuit on Saturday morning.
“I’ve still got a small lead in the championship after Appin and that’s the most important thing. I do like the Gunnedah track, I’ve done well there in the past and with Dallas Daniels joining in – well, everybody wants to win against the best riders and this field is incredible. It’s very exciting and I’m really looking forward to the challenge!” said Brook, Pro 450 Points Leader.
Throw hungry young talent Jordan Dall and Cyshan Weale into the mix combined with the extra challenge of the TT circuit on Sunday and you have all the ingredients for an electrifying finale to the 2024 season.
“The AFTN team is very excited to be heading back to Gunnedah for our season finale, it’s always a well-prepared, fast track and this year we’re lucky to include some of the fastest flat trackers on the planet in two-time AFT Singles champion Dallas Daniels, Tom Drane and Max Whale.” said Series Organiser Dave Maddock.
“It’s going to be very interesting to see how these guys affect the title fight between Jarrod Brook and Tom Herrick – and you can’t rule out Cam Dunker or Jordan Dall either – there are over 400 points up for grabs and only 122 points separating first to fifth.”
“The action is hot in the support classes as well, with the Clubman Open title going down to the wire between Benny Thistleton and John McLean. The popular Pro Twins class is going from strength to strength this year and Kristian O’Donnell and Kenny Angel will make it a CF Moto versus Ducati shootout on Saturday. This is one of the best flat track lineups ever assembled in Australia, we’ll finish the year off with a bang in Gunnedah!”
Live Timing will be available for all sessions via computime.com.au.
With no live-stream scheduled, follow the event on social media or head to Balcary Park Raceway, Hunts Road, Gunnedah over the weekend to catch all the action in person.
