A motorcycle rider has died following a crash south of Niangala, which sees traffic diverting via Walcha to get around the scene.
Shortly after 12:30pm today (Friday 1 November 2024), emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving several motorcycles on Nowendoc Road, Niangala, near the intersection of Koolkuna Road.
A male motorcycle rider died at the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services. He is yet to be formally identified.
Four other motorcyclists have been injured and are being treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
The incident will be investigated by specialist police from Oxley Police District and the Crash Investigation Unit.
Nowendoc Road is closed in both directions between Niangala Road and Thunderbolts Way.
