October is Small Business Month! And to celebrate, we’re highlighting some of the great small businesses we have throughout the region.

Today we have a specialist quilting store, a warm friendly hotel, and a photographer capturing those warm and special moments.

Stitch 2340 🖥️

Stitch 2340 is one of the biggest and brightest patchwork and quilting fabric stores in Tamworth, supplying anywhere in the New England and beyond. Proudly locally owned and operated, Donna Carr took over the business just 13 months ago, re-branded and relocated to the heart of the CBD.

As one of the largest speciality patchwork fabric stores in regional New South Wales, Stitch 2340 offers an extensive collection of fabrics for sewing, quilting, and embroidery. Our shop is a familiar face at craft shows across Australia, and our online store makes it easy for customers to browse and buy our products from anywhere.

We take pride in our unique sashiko kits, perfect for creating cushions, handbags, runners, and more. Whether you’re from Tamworth, Dubbo, Inverell, or beyond, you’ll find something special at Stitch 2340. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff set us apart from chain stores, offering expertise and advice you won’t find elsewhere. With bi-monthly Facebook sales, customers as far as Western Australia and the Northern Territory can enjoy our high-quality products.

Visit us today and discover why creatives across the region have made Stitch 2340 their go-to destination for textile supplies!

Bushranger Motor Inn 🖥️

The Bushranger Motor Inn offers four-star accommodation, warm friendly service, and a fantastic location.

Our location, cleanliness and warm hospitality keeps our guests coming back time and time again. We are right in the heart of Uralla walking distance to everything. Pubs, clubs, cafes & shops.

Situated in the heart of Uralla’s main street we are on the doorstep of shops, galleries, antique traders, and local points of interest. Our rooms are spacious and comfortable offering a quiet night’s sleep all at ground floor level. Family interconnecting and spa rooms are available as well as a disability access.

Emma & Murray are the owners of the motel. Both having always loved Uralla and having family here we thought it was the perfect place to have our own business, combined with our separate skill sets we believe this perfectly suits what we can offer our guests and locals alike. Emma, having worked in hospitality and people based industry for years has a flair for all things gourmet and good old fashioned customer service. Together with Murray’s 20 years in retail management and customer service we can offer a warm and welcoming stay with us at The Bushranger Motor Inn.

We pride ourselves on customer service, cleanliness and welcoming all our guests to make your stay with us hassle free, comfortable and memorable.

Pygmy Blooms Photography 🖥️

Just a little photography business loving to capture the special little moments. I offer lifestyle photo sessions and occasionally dabble in maternity and newborn as well as holiday themed shoots such as Halloween and Christmas.

I am Tamika and I run and own Pygmy Blooms Photography. I’ve lived in Armidale since 2017 and love the scenic nature of the area. I am also currently studying towards a diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging.

I am truly a people person. I love getting to know people one on one and finding how to let their personality shine through the images they are in.

Embrace the joyful chaos of family moments. Let’s freeze time together and create memories that will last a lifetime. Your unique story deserves to be told through the lens of love and laughter.

With a sprinkle of magic and a dash of wonder, let’s embark on a photography adventure unlike any other. Family bonds, genuine smiles, and precious connections are my specialty.

Throughout October, we’ll run stories highlighting the great local businesses we have right here in our communities. This is a free service – the businesses highlighted have not paid for this story.

Please share this story to help support New England businesses! See all our Small Business Month profiles here.
