October is Small Business Month! And to celebrate, we’re highlighting some of the great small businesses we have throughout the region.

Today we have three businesses that have their names up front: a leading photographer, trusted electrician, and a clarifying life coach.

Simon Scott Photo 🖥️

Simon Scott is one of the New England’s favourite photographers, predominately doing commercial photography, and is passionate about capturing stunning visuals that bring creative briefs to life.

Based in the Armidale, Simon’s work spans Narrabri, Moree, Inverell, and the rest of the New Enlgand, as well as coastal locations like Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie. He frequently travels to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and even internationally, having shot in London and Africa.

Simon’s photography services are diverse, covering commercial projects including stock images, people, events, editorial features, and environmental portraiture. He also captures weddings, lifestyle portraits, and family photographs, adding a personal touch to his work.

Known for his professionalism and attention to detail, Simon goes the extra mile to ensure each client’s vision is brought to life. When he’s not behind the lens, he balances his business with his love for running and music.

Simon is available for national and international assignments, offering high-quality photography services to local and global clients alike.

Natalie Hazelwood Coaching 🖥️

Based in Glen Innes, Natalie Hazelwood Coaching helps people who are struggling with frustration, who aren’t achieving the results in life they are looking for.

Clients experience clarity on what they want to achieve and why. They gain understanding of themselves and what drives them, allowing themselves to embrace all levels of who they are bringing it together to focus on their goals.

Natalie has a background in psychology and eastern traditions, performance coaching and emotional healing. She started careers in government, including military service, dipping her toes in areas she was interested in but never getting further.

Seeking assistance from a life coach herself, she began to see what she actually wanted from life and started changing direction. So through lived experience she brings personal insight into how our personal journey/life experiences effect your success in business and life.

A client of Natalie’s kept telling her in a session “”that is gold, that is gold””, so she now uses Alquemie (old French spelling) as a description of her work. When you transform deep old pain from relationships or trauma, the lead, you begin to feel lighter, the light energy of gold.

Natalie uses her intuition to assist you on your journey to create greater joy for yourself and by extension your family. She teaches simple techniques that clients can use as needed.

Working by phone or zoom has the benefits for clients not having to travel and being comfortable in their home while receiving assistance.

Throughout October, we’ll run stories highlighting the great local businesses we have right here in our communities. This is a free service – the businesses highlighted have not paid for this story.
