Sarah Crump has congratulated her new colleagues:
“Massive congratulations to all of the candidates from this election. I enjoyed spending time with each of you, and hearing of your passion for our wonderful shire.”
Adrian Willmot, who is very rare company having been elected while the top of his ticket, Ravi Gill, was not, has thanked his supporters, describing being elected as ‘an honour’.
“It is an honour to be voted as your local Gwydir Shire councillor. Thank you for your trust and belief. I look forward to working towards a Greater Gwydir with my fellow councillors,” he wrote on Facebook.
The first meeting of the new Gwydir Shire Council is likely to be on the fourth Thursday of October.
