The Tamworth region’s most popular multicultural event, Fiesta La Peel, is set to return in October.

This annual festival celebrates cultural diversity and promotes unity among communities.

The festival has become a hallmark event, bringing together people from various backgrounds to
celebrate, share, and learn about different cultures.
On Saturday, 19 October, Bicentennial Park will transform into a multicultural hub with a full program of music, performances and demonstrations. There will be a range of different stalls featuring food and art from across the world.

Applications to participate in the event, either as a stallholder or performer are now open and will close Tuesday, 17 September, 2024.

“We are excited to celebrate the diversity of our community at Fiesta La Peel,” said Crystal Vero, Tamworth Regional Council, Festival and Events Officer.
“This event is a testament to the incredible support and engagement we receive from our multicultural community every year,” she said.
Eddie Whitham from Multicultural Tamworth added, “Fiesta La Peel is really important to our community as it is inclusive of everyone, no matter what their background is. We can’t wait to celebrate this fantastic event which allows the region’s multicultural community to showcase their food, culture and music to the wider community.”
During the celebrations over 100 different nationalities will come together to celebrate the diversity of the Tamworth region through music, dance and cuisine from across the globe including Laotian, Thai, Chinese, Hungarian, Persian, Iranian, Indian, North American, South American, Taiwanese, Australian, Polish, Filipino, Nepalese, Italian, German and Spanish.

For the past decade Fiesta La Peel has been delivered and funded by Tamworth Regional Council with the support and involvement of event partner Multicultural Tamworth Inc.
