There’ll be lots of good family fun at Jellicoe Park in Moree next Thursday afternoon as a locals of all ages run through a very colourful course with a friendly giraffe.
Participants of all ages are invited to run, walk, or dance through the course, next Thursday 8 August from 3:30 to 5:30pm, immersing themselves in a rainbow of coloured chalk powder. The Lions Club of Moree will provide a complimentary BBQ for attendees, and there will be exciting giveaways from local community organisations.
During the Colour Run, the beloved Life Ed brand mascot, Healthy Harold the giraffe, will be available for photos at the outdoor photo booth provided by Moree Family Support, where visitors can also learn about the general welfare and support services available to families, youth and children in the Moree Plains Shire.
Attendees can meet local health service providers at the Moree, Boggabilla and Mungindi Community Health team hub, which includes information on Child and Family services and Aboriginal Wellbeing Family Violence Prevention programs. They will also offer giveaways and activities for younger children.
Miyay Birray Youth Service will provide transport for young people to attend the event safely, and Moree Plains Shire Council will bring their Library van and offer road safety information. Headspace and Centacare will host a stall providing information on mental health and well-being services in the Moree region, along with complimentary popcorn.
Life Ed NSW is the state’s largest provider of preventative health education to children and young people. On now until August 9, Healthy Harold’s Moree Festival of Health will engage over 1,000 Moree children and young people through the Life Ed program, hosted at their school or early learning centre.

The Colour Run with Health Harold is the feature event of an entire week of healthy good fun, in Healthy Harold’s Moree Festival of Health. The festival aims to promote health and mental well-being, spark conversations about positive health outcomes, and provide inclusive opportunities for community engagement.
