The CMAA Academy of Country Music is thrilled to announce the appointment of award-winning singer-songwriter Ashleigh Dallas as the new Assistant Director.

Ashleigh begins her tenure with the Junior Course in July, bringing her extensive experience and passion for country music to the Academy’s educational programs.

Ashleigh Dallas, a multiple Golden Guitar award-winning artist, has long been a beloved figure in the Australian country music scene. Ashleigh is excited to step into this pivotal role at the Academy, working alongside Director Lyn Bowtell to nurture and mentor the next generation of country music talent.

“I am incredibly honoured to join The Academy as the Assistant Director,” she said.

“Having been part of The Academy as a student and a tutor, I know firsthand the profound impact it can have on an artist’s career. I look forward to working with Lyn and the team to inspire and support emerging artists, helping them find their voice and place in the industry.”

Director Lyn Bowtell said she was excited to welcome someone with Ashleigh’s passion to the role and that appointing an Assistant Director was part of The Academy’s succession plan for the future.

“Ashleigh is an inspiring mentor,” she said.

“Her dedication to her craft and her care for the development of young artists make her the perfect fit for this role. I am thrilled to have her join our leadership team and contribute to the Academy’s mission of fostering excellence in country music.”

The CMAA Academy of Country Music has a rich history of developing talented artists who have gone on to achieve national and international success. With Ashleigh stepping into the role of Assistant Director, the Academy is poised to continue its legacy of excellence and innovation in country music education.
