The inaugural WTC Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, 4 November 2023 at Narrabri Golf Club to raise money for mental health services and local community groups in Narrabri.

The charity golf day will see teams of four competing in an 18-hole ambrose with generous prizes on offer for first, second and third. The event is being planned by local civil engineering business WTC Group in collaboration with Trademutt to raise funds for TIACS (This is a Conversation Starter) who provide free mental help support services comprising of a text and call service to counsellors. Proceeds from the event will also be donated to local community groups in the Narrabri area.

WTC’s Managing Director, Will Childs is looking forward to hosting the event and said,

“As a local business, we are passionate about investing in our people and our community – hosting this event is a way in which we as an organisation can give back to our community and causes we are passionate about.”

“We partnered with TradeMutt earlier this year in starting conversations around mental health. The initiative started off with ‘Funky Shirt Fridays’ where WTC employees wear their funky TradeMutt shirts.”

“Since then, we’ve had several pieces of our machinery wrapped in the signature TradeMutt vibrant prints that have been receiving positive feedback around the sites they have worked on.”

“This is the first year of what we hope to be of many WTC charity golf tournaments – with the intention of it becoming an annual event.”

“We have an impressive line-up of celebrities that will be joining us on the green and who will also be up for grabs in a Calcutta auction.

More details will be released on these celebrities as they finalise the roster.

“We encourage the business community, keen golfers, and anyone really who enjoys a bit of golf to register and join us in the tournament for what is set to be a fantastic day. We also strongly encourage family, friends and the wider community not playing to come along and enjoy the atmosphere from the comfort of the clubhouse.”

Registrations for teams of four are now open. Registration is $500 per team (plus a small booking fee) and includes breakfast from the Narrabri Lions Club, TradeMutt polos, golf balls and tees, a light lunch and a buffet dinner. Get in quick, registrations close on Wednesday, 18 October.
