Tamworth Pride Inc is holding its 3rd Annual Fair Day this Saturday, September 23, at Bicentennial Park.
Running from 9am to 2pm this will be a fun filled day with over 30 stalls, entertainment, our Tamworth Pride Inc Games and lots more to keep the whole community happy. The event usually very well attended with around 2000 people attending throughout the day.
The theme this year is ‘This is Me!’ and they are inviting all to come dressed in whatever you feel the most comfortable in, as long as it is colourful.
“We want everyone to dress as bright and colourful as they wish and dress how you would if you feared no judgement!,” said William Weller, President of Tamworth Pride Inc.
This year the event will also include their first Fashion Parade, which will be judged by some community members. There will be a few different categories, and a sign up form will be posted closer to the day, and we will have some paper forms at Tamworth Pride Inc’s Merch stall for last minute entries.
The Tamworth Pride Inc Perpetual Trophy is awarded to the winner of a team obstacle ad challenge race. Organisers some great activities lined up this year for competitors to race for, and are hopeful of having some Emergency Services and community teams participating.
As well as these great activities, we will have musical entertainment, a kids entertainment area and a youth chillout zone.
The day will be MC’d by drag performer Blake Riley.
“We are so thrilled to have Blake wowing us with their performances and their fabulous personality and dress sense on stage.”
