Looking for something to do with Dad this Father’s Day? There’s plenty going on, including the annual Kootingal Country Fair.

The Kootingal Country Fair Committee are overwhelmed by the number of stallholders attracted to
this year’s Father’s Day Fair to be held on the Kootingal Oval. Gates open to the public from 9am to
2pm.

The Committee is made up of volunteers who support the Kootingal Recreation Reserve Committee to manage the Kootingal Oval which is used by a large number of local sporting and recreational clubs. The Fair aims to raise funds for improvements to the Kootingal Oval as well as to give locals, clubs and schools a fundraising opportunity.

New attractions at this year’s Fair includes Charly Hackett, Liz Murray and Tamworth City Dance Studio performing live on stage. Families will be catered for with garden games, pony rides, face painting, woodturning demonstrations and much more. The Kootingal Motor Club will have Dads and Grandads and the like busy admiring the classic cars on display. A number of new and returning food vendors will be in attendance with a variety of international and local foods available.

With a variety of stalls offering quality goods there will be something for everyone. It will be the perfect opportunity to purchase a gift for a loved one, start the Christmas shopping, or just spoil yourself.

The Kootingal Recreation Reserve Committee hope that the day will raise enough funds to complete upgrades to various projects. Last year, funds raised at the fair were utilized to complete the half-court basketball concrete slab and purchase new nets for the Tennis courts at the Oval, and in previous years, the completion of the stage.
