Police have slammed the behaviour of a group of youths who brutally bashed a 50-year-old woman with a pole, while trying to steal her car.
Video has emerged online of the group attacking the woman who was sitting in her car on Quinn Street with a 14 year old girl.
The graphic vision shows the culprits hitting the woman with a pole multiple times in the head, face and arm and trying to pull her from the car before she managed to drive away.
Oxley Police District Inspector Michael Moy confirmed the video is being used as part of the investigation.
“It is disgusting and appalling behaviour,” Inspector Moy said.
The woman was later treated at Tamworth Hospital for a concussion, cuts and bruises.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
