The Enterprise and Training Company’s (ETC) Entrepreneurship Expo this Friday at the Armidale Bowling Club is a must-do for all those in small business or thinking about it.

This event is part of a series of Expo events being held across south-east Queensland and northern NSW. Employment services company ETC initiated these events to provide an opportunity for small business entrepreneurs, and potential entrepreneurs, to network and create connections with their community and other local businesses, and to find information to help further develop their businesses.

The Entrepreneurship Expo aims to give local small businesses the opportunity to showcase their products and services in a broad marketplace of business stall holders. This event will feature a number of presentations by business subject matter experts and local ambassadors sharing tips, guidance and their learned experiences. Attendees will also have an opportunity to engage with industry professionals as well as representatives from Local and State Government.

The Expo is a very community focused event. Cultural experiences that showcase the diversity and richness of our local communities are an integral part of the Entrepreneurship Expo. The Expo will open with a traditional Welcome to Country by local First Nations elders and the cultural influence will be incorporated into the Expo at various times throughout the day.

Pat Roesch of Biz Connect Web Designs, a stall holder at the North Lakes Entrepreneurship Expo in Qld, found the networking and engagement opportunities of the Expo very beneficial to his business.

“As we are very much a B2B service provider, we were able to have some healthy discussions around some of the other businesses digital footprint and marketing strategies.”

“We have two initial prospects from the event and have added several more to our database for further contact,” Mr Roesch said.

ETC has a strong focus on strengthening local communities through engagement and support. Selena Baillie, ETC’s Program Manager of Workforce Australia – Self-Employment Assistance, said the Entrepreneurship Expos are part of ETC’s commitment to supporting the growth and development of small businesses in the communities where they operate.

“We invite anyone who is interested in entrepreneurship and self-employment to join us at our Entrepreneurship Expo and experience the benefits of being part of a supportive and vibrant small business community,” Ms Baillie said.

The Expo runs from 11.00am – 2.00pm on Friday 16th June, at the Armidale Bowling Club. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
