With agriculture topping the list for serious work-related injuries, every farm needs to be prepared in terms of injury prevention and how to deliver first aid in the event of accidents.
To assist local growers, GrainGrowers is running a two-day on-farm first aid course in Quirindi from 24-25 July.
The Rural and Remote First Aid Course is designed for on-farm situations and tailored to those living and working on the land.
Importantly the course covers a range of job-specific situations, making it ideal for growers seeking valuable first-aid skills.
The course includes a range of content exclusive to rural and remote first aid, including an evening scenario session. The practical scenario is designed around a patient’s location, assessment, treatment and transportation to a lit landing area for aeromedical retrieval.
Registration costs $200 and includes both training days plus morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea. The event will be held at the Borambil Hall, Quirindi.
