The Inverell Birdkeepers Group will hold their annual bird expo on Sunday 4 June at the Inverell Showground.
The Bird Expo is set to be a great day. The Birdkeepers group held an Early Bird Expo in February 2023, with 1300 birds benched and 80 tables booked. The event will begin at 9.30am and there will be a $2 entry fee. Hot food, coffee, and drinks will be available on the day.
For those wanting to sell birds, a trade table will cost $25. Benching times will be Saturday 3 June from 5-7pm and Sunday 4 June from 7-9am.
All birds and cages must be checked in at the bird entry gate after an entry form is filled in. Birds will be held in the basketball stadium.
Those entering birds into the expo are reminded that the expo operates under the Bird Code. Dirty cages will not be accepted. There must be no grit in cages and no poultry.
The Inverell Birdkeepers Group is affiliated with the Canary and Caged Bird Federation of Australia Inc. Those wishing to sell birds on the day should make a booking by contacting Trevor via mobile on 0432 142 039 or via email at btwoodham2@bigpond.com.
Those interested in attending the event are encouraged to like and follow the Inverell Birdkeepers Group Facebook page to keep up to date with event details.
