Ten days of foodie heaven is about to begin in Tamworth, with Taste Tamworth on for 10 days starting this Friday March 10.

There’s so much to do, see, eat, drink and enjoy over the popular festival, as foodies flock from near and far to enjoy the finest quality food, wine and produce in the region and beyond including a special visit from previous MasterChef Australia contestant Reece Hignell.

Events this year include the Rural Sisters’ pasta making workshops, The Press’s cocktail masterclasses, a bottomless brunch at The Longyard, a gin experience at Tomms Bar, a steak masterclass with Jack’s Creek and Tamworth BBQ at The Welders’ Dog, Spilt Milk’s Cow to Cone gelato experience, a food inspired paint and sip class with Pinot and Picasso, bush tucker under the stars at the Artshack at Wilgabah, a big screen showing of ‘Ratatouille’ in Bicentennial Park, the Peel Street Markets and so much more to indulge in over the festival.

Sweet Street: Saturday 11 March, 2pm-5pm
Prepare your tastebuds for cupcakes, slices, and other delicious treats at Sweet Street! Sweet Street is a colourful sweet filled afternoon in Fitzroy Street Plaza, this year with special guest Reece Hignell. Reece was a contestant on Masterchef Australia, season 10 and now owns Newcastle bakery Cakeboi. Reece will be holding a baking masterclass at Sweet Street showcasing one of the recipes from his new book ‘Cakeboi: A collection of Classic Bakes’.

Laneway Pop-Up Bar: Friday, 17 March, 7pm – 10pm
Step off the streets of the Tamworth CBD and discover an evanescent bar housed in a unique converted laneway. Enjoy a range of international flavours from a selection of dishes prepared by The Pig & Tinder Box and party the night away with a selection of wines, beers, and cocktails available from the open-air bar. Taste in the Park: Sunday, 19 March, 10am-4pm
Taste in the Park is the largest and final event of the Taste Tamworth Festival. Bicentennial Park comes alive with food stands, fresh produce and craft beer stalls. Discover sensational flavours at Taste in the Park. This is the foodie event of the year! With over 40 stallholders from across the region and beyond. This event is not to be missed.

There is such a wide range of events and activities to get involved in this year with something for everyone, so make Taste a to-do on your foodie list!

Taste Tamworth kicks-off on Friday, 10 March and will delight visitors all the way through to Sunday, 19 March 2023.
